Once I got home we unpacked the groceries and toyed with the fact of going out to eat. I didn't have anything on the menu for today and we decided to have hoagies for dinner. I had a craving for Chinese, but Alan is not a fan of Chinese. I told him that usually the buffets have kid-friendly items such as chicken, pizza, vegetables etc. Finally, he decided we could go. I was ecstatic. I ordered take out from this restaurant before, but never ate there. Needless to say it was awesome. I felt that I had been to some better ones, I think Alan was bummed that there wasn't pizza or chicken nuggets but he did manage to eat chicken wings, rice, he tried some vegetables and was even brave and tried broccoli and chicken. I will get him out of his pizza, meat, potato and pasta bubble yet!
I've been putting off cleaning for two weeks now. I use the broom and swiffer once or twice a week and try to do one room a day.
Monday - clean the bathrooms
Tuesday - clean the floors downstairs - kitchen, dining room and laundry room
Wednesday - laundry
Thursday - clean the floors upstairs - bedroom, spare room
Friday - Free Day
Saturday - clean living room
Sunday - laundry
It looks great, but in all reality I haven't really stuck to it and Alan isn't one for cleaning he always says things look fine. We have two dark color padded chairs in the dining room that Emma (the cat) loves to lay on. It took me 15 minutes with the Bissell Pet Hair hand vac to get all the hair I could off of two chairs. Sometimes I wish I could shave the animals.
Alan did use the Shark for the first time - he got an A for effort and a par rating from me. He did what was the minimal possible. He tries I know my standards are set high. Alas, I shall go prepare a delicious medium roast cup of Donut House coffee in the Keurig and tackle the mish mosh that occupies my living room bench and spare room...and I call myself organized!
